* Bear Hunts Over Bait:         5- day hunt      $1,500/ person
We offer black bear hunts over bait in scenic North Central Maine.  All property  is owned or leased by Grindstone Bear & Moose Lodge, LLC.  Our hunts are in sturdy  tree stands or in comfortable ground blinds, the choice is yours.  Whether you love hunting archery, rifle, pistol, or muzzleloader, we have the perfect setting for you to enjoy your hunt..  There are never more than five people in camp to ensure you get a personalized hunt.  If you enjoy fishing, you may want to test your skills in the mornings before your bear hunt.

*Moose Hunt (by Lottery Permit ONLY):     6- day hunt      $3,000 (2 persons)
Ask for information about entering the Moose Hunt Lottery.  Make sure to ask for the  helpful hints to increase your chances for the hunt of a lifetime.  If you get lucky on the  lottery, then give us a call.  We make your hunt very personalized and one of the best  experiences of your life with a guide that is very familiar with Zones 10 and 11.  We  prefer these zones for the ease of staying at our lodge, which includes meals, lodging, and  a guide.

October 14 – October 19

*Fishing Expedition:
Do you and your family or friends enjoy a do-it-yourself fishing vacation, and  love catching small mouth bass, brook trout, or land-locked salmon?  Then bring your boat and rent our lodging area for the week, and we will give you all the wonderful  destinations to fish on the East Branch of the Penobscot River (only pristine river in the  area), and local lakes and streams.

*ATV Expedition:
If trail riding is your pleasure, then bring your ATV’s and come ride on the many miles  of trails in the Penobscot & Aroostook County region.  Make our lodging area your base  camp and come have a wonderful experience in the Maine woods.

ATV Non-Resident Fee $69 for July 1 to June 30.

*Hiking:
Come enjoy the trails in Baxter State Park including the northern end of the Appalachian  Trail.  Use our lodging facilities for your base camp for day hikes.

*Lodge Rental for a Family Vacation:
Are you in need of a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a place that is the “Way Life Should Be”?  Would you like an exciting fun-filled family vacation, but like to stay in a home like atmosphere?  A do-it-yourself vacation with lots of ideas for day trips to see the beautiful surroundings of north-central Maine.  Whether you are into white-water rafting, hiking, taking a pontoon boat ride, a paddle wheel boat ride, canoeing or kayaking, photography, float plane rides, a day in New Brunswick (passport required), Bar Harbor, or the Moosehead Lake region, or just a slow paced drive through the wilderness to see moose, deer, and other wildlife; then we have your accommodations ready for you.

*Sightseeing Tours:

Our lodge is handicap assessable for hunters, which would include a ground level room for one handicapped individual along with a personal care taker.  Let us give you an experience you won’t soon forget.
